erm, I haven't read one that has that in. but there are episodes with Legsie being blind drunk cos he can't hold him drink.
Maybe we ought to write our own episode entitled: "Legolas gets a boyfriend"

Yeah, I guess. The last christmas episode made me laugh very much If size/shape/appearance are kept into the 2000s, I can't see any of Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gimli or Legolas surviving very well. Legolas could get cosmetic surgery on his ears, after which he's survive extremely well. Aragorn and Boromir would survive the best. Being men. This is strangely familiar, have we covered this already? Oops... I haven't been bothered to reread all the past posts, but feel compelled to revive this thread. Forgive me. Feel free to respond/laugh/repeat yourselves. I am bored.

I personally think that Maeglin would survive very well indeed in our century.
YOu see, he has that 'sensitive' thing going for them (ie Maelgin "stays silent" most of the time) and occassionally leaps into desperate action to try to "get the girl".
He also has that dark broodiness and slightly cunning streak which he could put to great use.
Not to mention a traumatic childhood; very much needed nowadays to bore all your dinner party companions with.
Plus, after getting captured by Sauron, he's just crying out to publish his autobiography/ survival story based on the possible title of: "The Darkness and Me" or some other suitably cheesey title.

That's a very interesting and original thought I agree, Maeglin has all the skill and cunning to survive in the modern world. Plus, I imagine him to be stunningly gorgeous. As for leaping into desperate action to try to "get the girl", that leap also kinda led to him being chucked off a cliff... but maybe he'll learn from his past mistakes.

Well, you live and learn, y'know?
Which other pre-LOTR age characters are there that would do very well?
