I'm very much looking forward to your talk, and really hope you decide to do one! Speaking of which, if you want to get it in the week after next, could you start thinking now? Decide who will be talking (2 or 3 people at the most, please), and a suitable topic. Any questions, you know which two guardians of Ithilien to ask. RastNim - I was going to congratulate you, but couldn't figure out which thread to put it in, since you'd gone way past the 200 mark by the time I read any of them Well, you have one more post than me now, so congratulations!!

You overestimate my public speaking skills, Esteldil.
Guardians of Ithilien? Faramir? Confused.

Charlie you and Rny should do a talk sometime...on BOROMIR AND ARAGORN!!!!! I don't know on which aspect but like Lei's on Leggie but on Arrie and uh...Borrie..t-hee.
Yeah is it still alright if Lora and I do ours on Bom Tombadil next week...will have to get materials ready....
Woo! I did have more posts...but not I have a lot less, I have been doing LOADs of homework so I haven't had time to post. Thankee for congrats on being a Maiar...muchly appreicated.
I am rather scared, I got so into my maths homework tonight I did a total of 10 sides in my homework book...I think I must be going down with something, I hate maths, it was inverse and direct proportion as well, I hate that.

I think I'll leave the talking to those who can actually do it, Rny can if she wants to.
Not sure what to say about the maths...perhaps a way of burning off chocolate cravings?

It would be good, you and RNY would be good at talking. It doesn't matter if you don't know much, that's no excuse, you can look it up, Lora and I hardly know that much on Tom Bombadil, we have to look it up.

It doesn't matter if you know loads or nothing, the point is you enjoy LotR enough to want to come to the club. I get the feeling that most of the first years really arn't that bothered really and only come for the sake of it. It doesn't matter just do a talk on something in LotR you really like.

That's very true. Beforehand, I didn't know about 90% of the stuff I talked about. And if you pick something you're interested in, you'll have great fun looking stuff up too. I must disagree about the first years - I find them all extremely enthusiastic. Perhaps they are too shy to speak out much. I hope they enjoy coming to listen at least. You certainly don't need to be hardcore to do a talk

Not too sure about the first years. I think a couple just come to laugh at us, but the first three do seem keen...as I said, I'm not too sure.
Thankyou both, but I think you'll be waiting a while before I dare to talk.

you do know some of these "first years" are actually third years. don't you?
Arrie- you are most def. not a spare part. I've not even read the Sil. and I still managed to give a...erm...talk on "the themes" (I blame English GCSE). Sp, talk about Aragorn. I'll certainly be spell bound...*sigh*

Oh yes, I know they're third years, I know Becky's sister and the twins are in my house thing. Hm. Yes. Make the first years talk! They look like they need it.
