A sale would be an excellent idea. How much money did you raise last time?
We could sell miruvor, though I don't know if anyone would buy a drink with unknown ingredients.
In any case, whether we do the sale or not, Lufa and I will make chinese lembas. ;D

I think it was about 30 pounds, but yet again I'm not sure because I didn't handle the cash, so to speak.

£30 isn't bad! Bear in mind that quite a lot probably came from me... I don't know if this helps, but I liked the sweet stuff. There was some non-sweet stuff which was horrible (remember, I fed it to Ian?). Don't know who made those, but no offense just a hint for next time. And the leaf wrappings were a really good idea. The first batch I bought came without them; then I saw other people with them, and went to buy some more.

Well it came from a lot of different people, not sure whos that would have been, maybe Rny's or Elrond's-not to insult their cooking, obviously, and I think the leaves were Becky's idea.

Woah, I didn't see either your last post or Esteldil's.
Aww, Becky has to dress up! Please convince her. Are any of the younger members dressing up? I'd have thought they'd be very into it.
RastNim - maybe you can tell me, what exactly is in this "special" lembas?

I thought she was dressing up already!? Maybe she is in secret and will surprise us on the day!
I think the total was just under £30 in the end, some of it tasted bad as people followed the recipe and didn't put that much sugar in it, I on the other hand put too much in. Honey is goood though.
It would be great a sort of end of term sale to celebrate the end of a term of Tolkien Society!!! Yeah the leaves were, Beccy's idea and that was sooo cool. I remeber you two buying it, we were very hyper!!! Mrs Chambers also bought a lot as I remeber, she bougth about 4 bits in the end...bless her I love her!! (bNNNNNlt)
Well... I didn't mean we exactly make special lembas as the twins did as that is baaaaaaaaaaaad, the special lembas from bagenders has a very very special extra ingredient...VERY special, if you catch my drift. The twins make it from their own crop lol, then they loose it off a cliff. Can I just say when I say make "special" Lembas I didn't mean with such substances in, I just mean Lembas that was other than plain!!!!! Like with Jam in or whatever! Gahh digging self into hole, it is special as it sint plain lembas it has a flavour such as vanilla, there I think I cleared that up!
I am going to try and dress up, reli reli try, Lora and I are having a shoping day on Sat to get one, will try and be Leggie but can't promise anything as yet.
We should probably say what was in the Miruvor, last time Miss o Connor was worried about the exact composition of "lembas" and so we had to tell her it was just cake, if we say it is fruit juice and it has a special elvish blessing or something, something that doesn't make it sound suspicious!!
Oooh Chinese Lembas intriguing!

Chinese Lembas does indeed sound intriguing...so much so, in fact, that it intiruiges (can't spell!) me! Oh well, we can make something up....remember the *interesting* dishes we made in Food, Lei? Fruit Juice, i don't think is going to sell. Even if we tell them it's Miruvor. And the Elvish Blessing is going to just scare BOC even more, methinks! Sale sounds excellent; we could give the money to charity (anyone know any Tolkien charities???) or just the school charity. And the leaves were a stroke of genuis! I never bought any of the sweet lembas- there wasn't much left by the time I got there Yes, the savoury ones were not as nice. I think we could just stick to sweet ones. We'll do orange ones and Chinese ones, yeah, Lei? Excellent, I hope lots of us dress up and then I can get really cool piccies which can go on website I seem to remember us being more hyper that someone was selling lembas. Oooh- where do we get the semolina flour?

I think they'd be more willing to let us do it if the money went to the school charity, I don't know any Tolkien ones. Aww shame that you never got to taste the sweet lembas. Never mind, there'll be plenty more next time. Wahey!

Yeah it is really nice. We didn't follow the recipe that closely though, we used normal flour, I think you can get Semoline form health food shops but I bet it will be a lot more expensive. The sweet stuff was much better than the savory stuff.
I agree we don't wanna scare BOC. d**n her, but at least it is healthy lol!
Cannot wait to try Chinese Lembas sounds good. We used to make a pig's ear out of things in food didnt' we Charlie *tries to run away from finger* haha and that cheese sauce that was EVERYWHERE enven up the walls.
Ahh this will be good lol.
