I really like the LOTR soundtrack -it works really well where ever it's applied. (in the 1st film and-a half anyway...) I still think POTC is better though Sorry

I don't think anyone here will kill you for that remark Speaking of bits that sound like other songs, I found the bit which I forgot. It's in FotR, "At the sign of the Prancing Pony", at around 1:27 minutes. It sounds like a bit from a Robbie Williams song, but I can't remember which.

I know which bit you mean! the strings after the pause! I have never noticed that before. The song is Supreme. I'm gonna go put Gondor on my ringtone. Might encourage me to switch phone on more often and pick it up when it rings.

Hahahaha, I just listened to it to see and it does indeed sound like Supreme, but played much slower, it's quite freaky, like your ears have gone funny and life is slowing (if you get what I mean, it's hard to explain)!!
That reminds me of a bit in RotK which reminds me of another sing...have however forgotten it and will have to listen to it to remember lol!

In Rotk, I can't remember which track this is, but during the film it's when you see the Army of the Dead in their mountain cave. Close in on the skin-peeling-off-skeleton of the King of the Dead... ... very much like the Underwater March in PotC.

But the King of the Dead really looks like Barbossa. Which graphics were completed first I wonder...
"Secret Aaaaaagent Bllom, Secret Agent Bllom."

Haha Bllom obviously isn't as dumb as some people think he is.

Or he just happens to be employed by very manipulative directors... ;D

Hahaha that is a catchy song - "Secret Aaaaaagent Bllom, Secret Agent Bllom."
We should patent that.
Soundtrack...yea I really like the uhhh...chords in the second song on the....third CD, the uh....dances of the.....drunken...pixies. That is soo good (desperatly tries to stay on topic for fear of being deleted)

I personally, and don't kill me please, that the LOTR soundtracks and music is infinitely superior to PotC. Because you can listen to LOTr music as music in its own right. Whereas, the PotC sounds too movie-ish.

True, PotC just makes you think of scenes from the movie. So does LotR, but it's more classical type music and it's more emotional than PotC.
Rny came up with Secret Aaaaagent Bllom over Christmas, we were discussing when the special effects were completed. We'll have to ask her about getting it patented.

LOL
Secret Agent Bllom could be in a spin-off of his very own, like Johnny English only prettier but dumber.
Anyway, this is bugging me so I thought I'd ask incase someone knew: in the ROTK soundtrack, 'The Black Gate Opens', there's a high flutey, very wistful moving bit.. It's just a flute with drums in background. It's about one third of the way through. Can anyone tell me what the scene is from the film? I think it's the bit when they're about to fight with Aragorn giving his speech, only I'm not sure. Help?

Is it possible to be dunber than Johnny English!?
I am not at all offended, I think that the PotC music is crap compared to LotR music, but when compared to other its is superior...just shows how good I think LotR music is.
