Sounds like Gandalf but probably not.
I'm going to get comments like "Don't be ridiculous, Arrie" now, aren't I?

I'm not entirely sure how to reply to that I know one of the palantiri was at Weathertop, and two others were obviously at Isengard and Minas Tirith. I think some were lost.

not sure if the Dunedain put them there, but wasn't Emyn Beriad one of the places? I remember reading about it in ROTK yesterday (or was it the Silmarillion? was late)
Oooh- another question. (if Lora's hasn't finished, leave mine til after):

Longshanks Stick-at-naught Elessar Isildur's heir Elendil's heir Dunadan (or something equally random by Bilbo) Estel Estel Telcontar Hope Strider Ranger Thorongil Wingfoot
uh...
Can't think of a question, someone else can ask one if they like.

Haha, I know nothing about the palatiri... Another name for Aragorn - Esteldildil, perhaps? Tina's question on the areas of Numenor - off the top of my head I can only remember Andúnie as an actual region. Plenty of places come to mind, but I don't suppose that counts. d**n... I've only just read the Akallabeth as well... bet I've spelt that wrong. What am I doing posting during my lunch hour when I should be eating? *** NOTE: Question-setting and question-answering seem to be getting a little out of control. Can we limit this to one question at a time? Everyone feel free to post your answers (even if they've been given by someone else, yes), but please WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION FROM THE ASKER before continuing onto a second question. Then the first person to post a correct answer gets to ask the next question. Thank you. *** I can't possibly keep track of all the questions/answers that have gone before, so we'll start from this question onwards: Who did Ancalime fall in love with?

I like that name! Esteldildil- nice ring to it, dontcha think??
(I wrote Elendil, but never mind)
Ok, can't answer any of the two questions up at the mo. as haven't ploughed way through enough of SIl yet....will attempt later.
Just for clarification:
Q: What are the lands of Numenor called? Q: Who did Ancalime fall in love with?
