I play this with the people on imdb.com and I wondered if you guys might like a go. It's really simple, you answer the quoestion if you can and then ask another one. I will keep it simple for now cos otherwise people wont be able to answer them (what I mean is not many have read Sil or UT)
What is the name of Grima's father?

It means masked or secret, which I think is stupid cos it's not like he is born evil. If you want to know, in LotR, if anyone is evil just translate their name.
Yay go me!
Umm...I always end up asking questions on swords or flowers for some reason -
Where is it metioned, in all of the books, that Aeglos grows?
Second part to question is, what other thing in LotR is called Aeglos and what does it mean?
Wow that's more like three questions than one, oh well, if you can't do one of them just leave it, reply as many as you can. I don't know if anyone who hasn't read UT will be able to get this actually...

ARGH ARGH I CAN DO THIS im sorry, i cant usually answer lotr trivia. my factual recall is as about effective as, well, something thats not very effecive. [ill probably get this wrong now] i havnt a clue where aiglos grows but i will guess it is far up in the mountains of the north there but...aiglos [im spelling it the way i want to] was gil gilad's spear, and translates as icicle. woo [dont laugh at me too much if its wrong] now i have to think of a question.... um..ooh, this one is mainly in honour of tinor what is the name of the river that the fellowship follow to reach moria [that wasnt a very well worded question. soz] if you manage to get the elvish name, then tyou get two bonus pioints and a hobbit of your choice

Sirannon - the Gate-stream or Gate-river.
Can I choose my hobbit?
Next question:
Off the top of your heads, guys, how old was Aragorn at his coronation?

Oh btw its Amon Rudh(meaning bald hill!?), the house of the petty-dwarf Mim if you are interested, it is metioned that Turin sees it growing when he resides there. It is also supposed to be the only place that it grows or has evern been seen growing why a kiss, meh its late It does indeed mean icicle but a more direct translation is Snow Point

Tee-Hee - It's impossible to remember it something like Nin-in-Eliph, I'll go look it up....
Wow, I was amazingly close, go me it's - Nîn-in-Eilph, I just got the i and the l the wrong way round.
It was called the swanfleet because there were a lot of swans which lived on the marshland. That hard to spell Elvish name apparenly means Land of the swimming swans, how purdy.
Umm..pae wasn't the point of asking a question so that others could try and answer?

Oh btw it's spelled - Pelargir Haven of the Kings of Gondor - The greatest and most ancient of the havens of Gondor, on the northern shore of the River Anduin in the land of Lebennin.
Seeing as I corrected Lora's question I shall ask another -
Aww...this always makes me sad cos it's post LotR, what was Mirkwood remamed by Celeborn and Thranduil after the WotR? (P.S what does it mean, it's so pretty and related to Legolas) wow I guessed it was Celeborn and Thraduil and then I looked it up and it was, go me! Ok..you didn't need to know that, going.
Also where did Legolas reside after the WotR?? (hint. Faramir was there as well (bnlt)

Mirkwood is renamed Greenleaves, is it not?
Legolas dwelt in Ithilien (ohh, we wish!) before sailing West.
Am I allowed to post questions which I don't know the answer of?
Because your last post about Thranduil and Celeborn renaming the wood (which I remember reading too) is confusing. I thought Thranduil hated Celeborn.

maybe they hated the name Mirkwood than they hated each other?
Why did the rename it Greensleaves? quite arrogant isn't it, having a wyole wood named after oneself??
