Are elves so d**n perfect and haughty that they are famed for their having lots of children and not just plain old sex drive??

Aw, shucks Lucia, I know you love me; but I've told you before, our friendship can never go beyond...
Wait. That wasn't what you meant, was it?

Okkkkk....I'll just ignore the last comments....*gives the subject a very wide berth* On the subject of how many children they had, I think you will find that Aragorn and Arwen had more than one child, they had one son - Eldarion but they also had many unnamed daughters....but isn't that just men's high sex drive Fingolfin meanwhile has 3 children and his brother Finarfar had 5, nearly as many as Feanor (one of which was of course lady Galadriel) I don't think any of the sons of Feanor however had children, they were far to obsessive about the Silmarils, barely any of the survived anyway, I think only Maglor survived. The high king Fingon(son of Fingolfin) had but one son which was of course Gil-Gilad(of Ereinion). His brother Turgon had only one daughter Idril and Turgon's sister Aredhel was forced to marry the dark elf Eol and bore just one son Maeglin. Dior (rightful heir of Doriath) and Nimloth however had 3 children, one of which was Elwing, mother of Elrond and Elros. She therefore obviously had 2 children, but they were with a man so do they count? Legolas of course had no children that we know of (he prefered a little dwarf lovin me thinks). I'll now average out this number (I have to find something better to do with my life) and it come to = 22 divided by 9 which come to 2.4. Wow what a coincidence, that was the Britich average not so long ago weird. But that doesn't take into account the fact that most of the elves are having just one child, Fingolfin and Feanor were flukes.. So from this I can deduce that the mode number of elves had only one child ergo, not a very high sex drive amoung the elvish race.

wow!! I must applaud you on quantifying the sex drives of men and elves! I personally think that elves being totally devoted to each other is really really sweet. But then men being totally devoted to each other to is very sweet annnnd they get the benefits of sex.

Tinor- your post made me and fall off my chair. So, although I had to edit it slightly, I've tried to leave the gist up! PS- I totally agree! Plus, Elves remind me of women.
